  • What is Sound Design exactly?
Sound Design has two definitions. The first is a blanket term used to describe the entirety of a production's sound. The second refers to the creation or modification of individual sounds using pre-existing assets, or a synthesizer. We consider this a part of "Sound Editing"
  • Do you offer your services separately?
We prefer to offer them as a complete package, but we're open to different opportunities. Our services combined handle the entire production of sound, including Sound Editing, Sound Mixing and discussions with you about the direction of sound (and vocals if applicable) You can find more info about our services on our homepage.
  • How much do your services cost?
We charge a flat rate based on the length and complexity of your project as well as the expected turnaround. If our duties exceed the initially agreed upon scope of work then we can negotiate further payment. If you'd like a specific quote, please feel free to contact us, there's no pressure whatsoever to commit. Please note that we only accept payment via PayPal at this time.
  • What do you need to get started?
For an animated project, it's advised that you come to us with the visuals finalized and locked. This allows us to immediately start crafting the final sound for your project. We are willing to make exceptions for this, but it's likely to be slightly more expensive. It's also advised that you don't announce your project until the visuals have been completed, as delays in the visual aspects of the production may shorten the amount of time we have to complete the sound to a high standard.
  • What's your policy on revisions?
We're relatively flexible with revisions. Rather than completing a full pass on your project and then offering a set number of revisions, we'll send you updates to comment on and provide feedback as we go along. We're more than happy to make changes so long as they're within reason and not copious. If they are, we may have to negotiate extra pay. Acceptable revisions include: Adding, altering or removing sounds/effects. Changes to the timing of a sound. Revisions subject to extra pay include: Several complete redesigns of a sound or scene. Asking for several changes to a sound or scene and then requesting to start over. When we deliver the full length product for quality checking, you will also have the opportunity to request fixes for any small issues you may have.
  • Where did you get your name?
It was mainly chosen because we liked the juxtaposition of kicking back to relax and the kickback of something powerful.
